Arrivals : We expect you normally between 17h and 20h unless otherwise requested. If, by chance, you are held up and will be arriving late, let us know by phone so that we can keep your reservation open for you.
If you find at the last minute that you are unable to come, again, let us know and the reservation can be changed to a later date.
Departures : Before 11 am.
Smoking is not permitted either in the bedrooms or in the salon (there are smoke detectors in case of fire!), but there is a smoke-friendly area in the patio.
Animals : In spite of our love of animals, we regret we cannot accept them as they are not really adapted to bedrooms. Thank you for your understanding.
Breakfast, which is served from 9am either in the garden or in the Tibetan room, according to the season, is comprised of a varied and copious buffet consisting of typical French produce including several types of bread, pure butter croissants and various jams and compotes. There is also yogurt, cereals, fruit juice and, of course, coffee, tea, milk and chocolate.
If you have to follow a special diet, let us know when you book so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
For other meals, we will be able to recommend various local restaurants depending on whether you prefer simple or more elaborate meals.
Epernay (12km). Ancient gallo-roman champagne cellars carved out of local chalkstone.
Reims (35km). The Cathedral where the French kings were crowned.
The Faux de Verzy: strange deformed beech trees, worth a visit for nature lovers, and the nearby lighthouse of Verzenay.
There are also various historic buildings, Roman style churches, and several sites of the Battle of the Marne during the 1914-1918 war.
Also to be discovered, Hautvillers, the village where Dom Perignon, a monk in the Abbey produced for the first time the bubbles in the Champagne wine, and where there is a splendid church.
There are also path for rambling and cycling, and numerous other places to visit.
